Spotted Zebra Learning CenterAbout The Spotted Zebra Learning Center

The Spotted Zebra Learning Center, founded in 2005 by Sheri Canfield, began as a heartfelt mission to create a program that met her son’s special needs while offering vital support for working families. As the first of its kind in the Capital Region, the center combined an integrated preschool program with a wraparound component designed to assist parents. Starting with just one classroom, it has grown significantly over the years. In 2025, the center now boasts six classrooms, including four integrated classrooms, a special class for children needing additional support, and a private integrated kindergarten.

In 2014, the Spotted Zebra moved to a larger facility at 26 Computer Drive East, allowing it to expand into the early intervention field by providing services to children from birth to age three. The organization also broadened its impact by offering special education services directly within the daycare or school programs that children attended. These on-site services have been instrumental in helping children thrive in their everyday environments.
